Great news! The Pakistan church may be wise to also provide a "Greek" Orthodox affiliation to conjure up those Pakistani philhellenes who from my experience continue amazingly to remember fondly Alexander the Great of 230BC, people from his lineage who to this day historical live in the Chitral mountain region of northern Paskistan. May soften any potential Christian/Muslim problems.

Parents lost children. I can’t imagine the sorrow and pain they face now, but you know, and you care.

Lord, bring them comfort.

Help them to know their children are your children too, and that you
hold them in your arms, safe and secure in a place where there is no
more sorrow or fear.

These same parents are having to now rebuild their homes, and their
lives. Be their foundation as they build. Be their cornerstone, and
their strong tower.

And as they rebuild, let them find rest and hope beneath the shadow of your wing.

Children lost parents. From one day to the next, their world has become a frightening and unsure place.

Father, they are your children, and you care for them like no other. Give them comfort and draw them near.

Let angels be at their side, so close they can feel them and know they are not alone.

As they try to make sense of their world, let them see through your
eyes, and help them know there is a home beyond this one, a forever
home, where they will be together again.

Pour grace, hope, and love into each life affected by this tragedy as
only you can. Grace that grows greater and stronger than the deepest
sorrow. Hope that sees beyond the rubble of today. And love, your love,
that lasts forever. It goes beyond the temporary separation of death by
entwining each life with your golden strands of love that will never be
severed or broken.

In the name of Jesus, who took time for the children and said that
the Father’s kingdom is made up of ones like them, be with your children
— young and old — and help them find hope and healing in your arms.

How can it be that the author of this article does not know that the Patriarch of Constantinople is not the "Orthodox Pope" and thus not the "spiritual head of worldwide Orthodoxy?" Likewise, the Orthodox Church did not split from the Roman Catholic Church in 1054; rather, the Roman Church separated herself from Orthodoxy by changing its doctrines well before 1054. If anything, Rome went into schism from the Orthodox faith.

The apology desired by Serbian Orthodox Metropolitan Jovan of Zagreb will happen. Serbs need to understand that the events at the Jasenovac concentration camp were largely unknown to most people in the West until just a few years ago. Once it is widely known it will be acknowledged.

The massacre at Srebrenica and the sieges of Sarajevo and Mostar in Bosnia Herzegovina remain highly contentious issues in Serbia even today, primarily because of the support the Serbian State under Milosevic gave to ethnic Serbs in the former Yugoslav province of Boznia. There is a need to heal the wounds of the past (the Ustase were modeled on and allied to, Hitler's SS), but the crimes committed against the Serbs in WWII cannot justify (less still atone) for the atrocities committed by Serbs in the ethnic wars of 1990s.

In Moscow at Pascha this year, according to police figures, 300,000 people came to church on Holy Saturday during the day and for the Paschal Vigil. Probably at least half of those people came only to have baskets of Paschal foods blessed. Moscow is a city of at least 12 million inhabitants. That means that less than 2% of the population came to church for any religious reason. People in Western Europe do not find this is real evidence of a "religious revival". Russia remains a deeply non-Christian society.

Most Western Europeans would also find the collusion between the Church and State in Russia, in defiance of the constitutional separation of the same, to be anti-religious. The Church always ends off the loser in such situations - Kirill looks increasingly like a pawn in the power games being played by Putin and his cronies.

- Training children to use hunting guns against Palestinians

Where is the right of reply or right to defence? Have the police been involved? Any statement from the local clergy?

As the world has gone so far in all fields like education,technology,development,industry,commercialisation,socialisation and more than everything civilisation we christians must come to the conclusion that there is only one Son of God and he is Jesus Christ ,The Saviour born to Virgin Mary.As the Catholic church under the leadership of the Pope has the maximum number of believers,priests,nuns,Bishops,Arch Bishops and Cardinals its better to join them and be a family of Christians worldwide instead of claiming that we are better than the catholic hierarchy.As far as a small place like Kerala is concerned, the two divisions of the orthodox church namely,Malankara Orthodox and the Malankara Jacobite are fighting for positions and churches ridiculously against the basic principles of christianity which tells to serve others irrespective of positions and financial gains.People like you must take the example of the lives of Mother Teressa and Gandhiji, who even if was not a Christian lived better than any Christian in his deeds.

Instead of fighting for churches , semmetries , semminarries , church lands , positions and wealth take the example of the Great Arch Bishop Geevarghese Mar Ivanios who showed the boldness to join the universal catholic church under the Pope in the year 1930.
